Fujifilm X100S first impressions

Short one today, and in english only.

Got my hands on a Fujifilm X100S some days ago, with some great help and support from the guys at Fujifilm Nordic. They offered me to borrow this camera for some time, a camera that seem to already have gained a cult status worldwide. That's one offer I won't turn down... I have to admit that I was kind of ecstatic about it, and had great expectations to this little retro looking gem. So far I can only say that my expectations have been met and succeeded!

I've only had the chance to play with it for a few hours, fiddling with the menus, playing with the buttons, and just admiring its great looks. It's one sexy little thing for sure! Heck, even my wife think it looks cool, and she's not hung up on camera equipment at all...!

I'll post some more about this camera later, probably do a lengthy review of it. My style of review that is, not a pixel peeping tech filled blogpost. You'll find plenty of that elsewhere. I'll focus on the playful and creative aspects of such a small but powerful camera, so be sure to check back!

In the meantime, here's a couple of my very first testshots with the X100S. Just some play with shadows and light. Two of them (the landscape with the suitcase, and the walker) have had some tweaking in Silver Efex Pro2, the shadows on the wall just got some minor contrast and exposure tweaks. All of them shot as RAW and converted in Adobe Camera Raw 7.4.

Cheers!
